WENGLOR Inductive Proximity Switches

wenglor offers a broad range of Inductive Proximity Switches. Various housings in combination with different materials and functional principles enable the solution of many types of applications. wenglor Inductive Proximity Switches are designed without any internal moving parts. They are thus maintainance-free, resistant to wear, water-proof and insensitive to contamination and vibration. They are protected against short-circuits and they can be installed in any desired position. Their service life is independent of switching frequency or measurement cycles.

Inductive All-Metal Switch

Inductive All-Metal Switches are available in a wide variety of mechanical designs and housing materials. They are immune to welding fields and magnetic fields, and are finished with a Teflon coating. Thanks to the use of a differential transformer, switching distance is always the same for different types of metals. The switches have a correction factor of 1.

Inductive Full-Metal Switches

Inductive Full-Metal Switches are furnished with a full-metal housing made of stainless steel. They are thus highly impact resistant. They are resistant to chemicals (e. g. cleansers) and remain water-proof even when exposed to extreme pressure (IP68 and IP69K), making them very well suited for use in the food processing industry

Inductive Analog Sensors

Inductive Analog Sensors detect metals situated within their working range, and specify distance to the object by means of a proportional voltage signal from 0 … 10 V. Even in environments characterised by extreme contamination, Inductive Analog Sensors reliably detect distances to metal objects. Switching distance is identical for different metals. The sensors have a correction factor of 1.

Inductive Proximity Switches

An LC oscillating circuit is located underneath the sensing face of these sensors. The electromagnetic field generated by the LC oscillating circuit is influenced when approached by metal (steel) or nonferrous metals such as aluminum or brass. If the approaching metal object reaches the selected switching distance, the output is switched.
